The Opportunity
 

We are expanding our technology team and are looking for a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to join us. In this role, you will play a critical part in the design, development, and scaling of our AI platform, contributing to the next generation of voice-driven technology in the automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Design and Architect Solutions: Lead the technical design and architecture for core components of our voice-driven AI platform, ensuring scalability, robustness, and high availability.

     

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and mentorship to other engineers, guiding them in best practices for software development, AI integration, and voice technology.

     

  • AI & NLP Integration: Work closely with the AI and data science teams to integrate language models (LLMs) and natural language processing (NLP) technologies into our platform.

     

  • Voice Technology: Help to incorporate text-to-speech (TTS) and other voice-driven technologies to enhance user interaction and improve overall platform performance.

     

  • Innovation and Research: Stay on top of new trends, tools, and technologies in the fields of AI, machine learning, NLP, and voice tech.
    Contribute to the development of innovative solutions that can be applied within the automotive retail sector.

     

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, design, QA) to ensure alignment with product goals and a smooth software development lifecycle.

     

  • Problem Solving and Optimization: Tackle complex technical challenges related to AI and voice technologies, ensuring the platform performs efficiently and reliably.

     

  • Code Quality & Reviews: Maintain high standards for code quality, performance, and maintainability. Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.

Principal Software Engineer

Requirements
 

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on building large-scale, distributed systems and AI-driven platforms. At least 3 years in a senior engineering or leadership role.
     

  • Proficiency in Key Technologies: Strong proficiency in Python and C# for developing scalable, high-performance software solutions.
     

  • AI & NLP Expertise: Experience working with large language models (LLMs), natural language processing (NLP), and other AI technologies is essential.
     

  • Voice Technologies: Familiarity with text-to-speech (TTS) and voice-driven AI platforms is a plus.
     

  • Cloud Technologies: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly beneficial.

     

  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.

    Leadership and Mentorship: Proven ability to lead technical teams and mentor engineers in achieving their professional development goals.

     

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


Requirements
 

  • Experience: 10+ years in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership or architectural role, building and scaling complex software platforms. Need experience building and operating production quality cloud native applications

  • Proficiency in Key Technologies: Deep expertise in Python and C# with a strong background in building distributed systems and software architecture.

     

  • AI & NLP Expertise: Proven experience working with large language models (LLMs) and language processing technologies.

     

  • Voice Technologies: Familiarity with TTS platforms and voice-driven AI systems is highly desirable.

     

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to create innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.

     

  • Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

     

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications
 

  • Experience working in AI or voice technology-driven products.
     

  • Familiarity with automotive retail or similar industries.
     

  • Open-source contributions or published research in AI/ML fields is a plus.
