Our Story

In 2022 STELLA Automotive AI was founded when founder, Josselyn Boudett, partnered with top automotive dealers and investors who were passionate about building intelligent AI solutions to help dealers deliver a modern customer experience. Dealerships have long struggled with the ongoing challenges with piecing together fragmented, inadequate solutions to solve the problem of customer engagement.

 

Shortly after, Rich Sands joined as CEO, an industry veteran, and STELLA launched in the North American market, starting with some of the nation’s top dealer groups. Under Rich's leadership, the STELLA platform expanded to feature live read/write data integrations with leading industry software, quickly positioning STELLA as the leading AI platform with an advanced digital voice assistant.

The STELLA team expanded with dedicated and world-class customer support and deployment personnel to help dealers utilize AI for enhanced customer experiences, simplified technology, and reduced costs.

By collaborating with dealers, STELLA has continually expanded its product capabilities, facilitating millions of conversations across dealerships of all brands and sizes. Today, STELLA stands as the gold standard in customer experience, serving as the front end and first point of contact for dealer groups throughout the United States.

STELLA was officially announced as Microsoft’s Copilot for Automotive in 2024, unlocking new opportunities for dealers to leverage market intelligence at a Group level and collaborate with OEMs while maintaining control. With the focus on the future, STELLA is poised for significant expansion and remains dedicated to bringing cutting-edge technology to the automotive industry.
